Share Your Story
Your story has the power to encourage, inspire, and change someone's life
Why Share Your Story?
Encourage Others
When a man hears someone else's struggle that mirrors his own, it breaks the isolation. He realizes, “I'm not the only one.”
Get Practice
Most men have never told their faith story out loud. If you can't share it with a room of supportive brothers, how will you share it with a neighbor or coworker?
Build Trust
When one man is honest about his failures and God's rescue, it gives every other man permission to stop pretending. That's where real friendship starts.
It's Biblical
“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Your story is a weapon. It has power.
— Revelation 12:11See God's Work
Preparing your story forces you to look back and connect the dots. Many men have never traced God's hand through their life. It strengthens your own faith.
It's Contagious
One honest story opens the door for the next. The man who was too nervous to sign up hears someone share and thinks, “I could do that.”
People forget sermons. They remember stories. A 10-minute testimony can impact someone more deeply than years of instruction.

Guide to Sharing Your Story
You can use this to help develop your story, or we can interview you if that would be easier.
The Foundation
What was your understanding of God, faith, or the church growing up?
The Motive
Before truly understanding the gospel, what were you relying on for your identity, security, or self-worth?
The Turning Point
When and how did Jesus shift from being just an abstract concept, a set of rules, or head-knowledge into a personal Savior?
The Declaration
If applicable, how did your baptism serve as a physical milestone of this internal heart change?
The Fruit
What tangible changes in your character, desires, or actions have grown naturally from this transformed heart?
The Current Work
What is an area where God is actively working on you, refining you, or challenging you right now?
The Core Message
If the group remembers only one thing about God's grace from your story, what do you want it to be?
Tips for Sharing
- Keep it conversational — simply sharing among brothers, not preaching a sermon
- Emphasize God as the hero — less time on gritty past details, more on the rescue and restoration
- Celebrate the “ordinary” — whether saved from intense rebellion or the Sunday school pews, a heart brought from death to life is always a miracle
